AIME52 Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this Privacy Policy. The Services are designed exclusively for teachers and educators who are eighteen years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect, process, or retain personal information relating to students or to individuals under the age of eighteen, and use of the Services by such persons is strictly prohibited. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC148190.
aime is committed to ensuring that personal information is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently in accordance with applicable legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act in the United States, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, and other applicable laws of the United States. 2. Information We Collect
When you create an account with aime, we collect certain information that is necessary for registration and operation of the Services, including your name, your email address, encrypted login credentials, and, where you choose to provide it, the name of your school or organisation. If you subscribe to paid Services, billing information is processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc. or its affiliates. Stripe may collect payment card details and billing addresses to facilitate transactions; however, aime does not access or store full payment card information at any time.
In the course of your use of the Services, we may collect data concerning your activity within the platform. This includes records of lesson generation requests, curriculum pacing plans, reflection entries, and technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and operating system. Where practicable, this data is anonymised and is used to enhance system performance, monitor service stability, and improve the overall user experience. If you contact our support team, we also collect the content of your communications, including your email address and any information you choose to provide in your request.
3. Third-Party Data Collection
Certain aspects of the Services are provided in partnership with trusted third parties who process data on our behalf. Where identity validation is required, aime engages Sumsub. Identity documents and related information are provided directly to Sumsub, which processes such information in accordance with its own privacy policy. aime does not view or store the underlying identity documentation.
All subscription payments are processed through Stripe. While Stripe may collect payment credentials and billing information, aime does not store or retain this data. If you log in to the Services using Google or Microsoft single sign-on, authentication is conducted by those providers. aime receives only limited profile information necessary to establish your account, such as your name and email address.
The Services also incorporate functionality from third-party large language model providers ("LLMs"). You may either connect your own LLM account or make use of the integrations provided within aime. Any content generated by such LLMs is subject to the policies of the respective providers, and aime accepts no liability for the accuracy, appropriateness, or consequences of outputs generated by these third-party models.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
aime does not collect, process, or retain student names, grades, or any other form of student personally identifiable information. We do not knowingly collect data relating to individuals under the age of eighteen. We also do not collect sensitive categories of data such as biometric identifiers, health information, or political or religious beliefs.
5. Purposes of Processing
Personal information is processed only for the purposes necessary to provide and improve the Services. These purposes include authenticating accounts, delivering core functionality, managing subscriptions and billing, responding to support inquiries, improving service reliability and performance through analytics, and complying with applicable legal and regulatory obligations. aime does not sell, lease, or otherwise monetise personal data.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the UK GDPR or the GDPR applies, we rely on the following lawful bases for processing personal data. Processing is carried out when it is necessary for the performance of a contract, specifically to deliver the Services to which you have subscribed. In certain cases, we rely on your consent, for example when you choose to receive optional communications. We may also process data on the basis of our legitimate interests, including service improvement, fraud prevention, and account security. Finally, we may process personal information where required to comply with a legal obligation, including obligations relating to tax and accounting.
7. Where Your Data Is Hosted and International Transfers
aime's platform and the information it holds are hosted by Amazon Web Services in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Some of the service providers described in this Privacy Policy, such as our payment, identity verification and artificial intelligence providers, may process personal information outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where personal information is transferred outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we protect it with appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or a finding of adequacy, so that it receives an equivalent level of protection.
8. Data Retention
We retain account information for the duration of your active subscription. If you choose to delete your account, data including lesson plans, pacing information, and reflection entries will be deleted within thirty days, except to the extent that retention is required by law. Billing and financial transaction records may be retained for up to seven years in order to satisfy applicable legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
9. Data Security
aime employs industry-standard technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit using TLS protocols, encryption of data at rest using AES-256 standards, the use of role-based access controls to limit internal access, and the implementation of regular security audits and penetration testing. aime also maintains an incident response program to investigate and remediate potential breaches of security. While aime takes all commercially reasonable steps to secure information, no system of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
